Usage Guidelines

Intended Use

It is for single use to provide disposable mechanical airway for adult patient in general tracheotomy operation for anesthesia, mechanical ventilation and assisted respiration's needs. It can also suck up the sputum from patient's upper respiratory tract during retention.

Directions for Use

  1. Clinician should select suitable size of Tracheostomy Tube.
  2. Tear outer package, use syringe to inflate the balloon and check if there is air leakage.
  3. Insert the tube into patient's trachea through surgical incision.
  4. Inject suitable volume of air into balloon (pressure should not exceed 1.7kpa).
  5. After confirming correct placement, secure the cord to patient's neck.
  6. Use syringe to absorb sputum collected in the tracheostomy cuff when indwelling.
  7. After use, deflate the cuff and gently pull out the catheter.

Contraindications

Patients with acute laryngeal disease, acute tracheal inflammation, subglottic inflammation or neoplasm, thoracic aortic aneurysm pressing tracheal, cervical vertebra injury, or requiring long-term tracheal intubation.

Cautions

  • Single use only. Do not use if package is damaged.
  • Restricted to use by qualified medical staff.
  • Select size based on patient's age, gender, and figure.
  • Inject sterile water into the suction interface to moisten the respiratory tract before suction.
