Instructions & Usage

Intended Purpose: The Endotracheal tube with suction lumen is intended for insertion into the trachea to establish and maintain a patent airway and ensure adequate gas exchange. The suction lumen allows for clearing secretions in the upper respiratory tract.

Usage Steps:

  1. Check patient's trachea to select appropriate specifications.
  2. Remove from protective packaging carefully.
  3. Visual check of main tube lumen patency.
  4. Test the cuff and valve for integrity before use.
  5. Evacuate air completely after testing.
  6. Intubate using accepted medical techniques and laryngoscope.
  7. Inflate cuff to provide effective seal (pressure normally < 2.5kPa).
  8. Fix the tube and monitor cuff pressure periodically.
  9. Prior to extubation, deflate the cuff completely.

Contraindications: Throat edema, acute trachea inflammation, tracheal compression, severe bleeding, or cervical spinal injuries.

Cautions:
  • Single use only. Do not use if expired.
  • For trained healthcare personnel use only.
  • Intubation period should not exceed 30 days.
